Quick drying thanks to an efficient air blower significantly extends the lifespan and reduces repairs. At 7,000 rpm, 4.89 m3/h of air is directed directly onto the hearing systems via the turbo channel. The humid air can escape unhindered through large openings. There is no heat input, which is important for rechargeable hearing systems, cochlear processors, in-ear monitors and batteries. The dual USB power supply enables drying, hygienic cleaning and charging of rechargeable hearing systems or other devices (e.g. mobile phones) at the same time from just one power outlet.
UV-C hygiene has been optimised in terms of intensity and exposure time. The high-quality UV-C tube emits a wavelength of 253.7 nm and an intensity of 4,900 μW/cm², so that 99.9% of all viruses, bacteria and fungi are eliminated in just 2 minutes. This was confirmed by an accredited testing laboratory with a certificate. The 2 phases at the beginning and end of the dry season guarantee sterility even if the hearing systems are removed in the meantime. The new dry-cap uv 1.1® is a medical device and meets the high requirements for medical devices (class I) of the Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745.

The Dry&Clean mode (120 minutes) is an automatic program and combines fast drying using an efficient air blower with UV-C light at the beginning and end of the drying time for perfect hygiene. The clean mode (2 minutes) is a short-term hygiene program and starts the optimized UV-C light, which effectively eliminates up to 99.9% of germs, bacteria and fungi in the household.
In addition to drying, UV-C light ensures hygienic cleanliness. Germs, bacteria and fungi are efficiently reduced by 99.9%, thus minimizing health risks. This clinical cleanliness prevents ear infections and protects both your hearing aids and your health. A 3G sensor switches off the device to protect the eyes when moving.

Whether at home or on the move, the dry-cap uv 1.1® dry box for rechargeable hearing aids is based on USB-C and can therefore also be used in hotels, cars, on a PC, TV or audio equipment. A standard USB 2.0 connection is completely sufficient for this purpose. The dual USB power supply (2A amperage) allows drying, hygienic cleaning and charging of rechargeable hearing systems or other devices (e.g. mobile phones) at the same time from just one power outlet.
