We are pleased to present the new USB Power Set to you. In line with our vision, we have incorporated the latest technical, legal standards and customer opinions into the development.
The change in EU Directive 2014/53/EU about the harmonization of USB power supplies and the uniform USB Type-C® Connection for all electronic devices up to 60 watts will be mandatory by 2024. This should reduce the number of different power supplies and cables and avoid electronic waste. Battery devices should be delivered without a power supply. Many hearing aid manufacturers are already adapting their systems to the new regulation.
flow-med also already has most of its devices on USB Type-C® converted.
However, operation, charging, drying and hygiene are not entirely possible without electricity and a USB power supply. Elderly people sometimes have no USB power supplies at home. Or people with disabilities find it difficult to use USB plugs. Here, it is helpful to keep battery-powered devices permanently connected to the USB cable and USB power supply.
Unfortunately, there are a large number of often inferior power supplies and cables on the market. The names are sometimes confusing.
In the specialty shop, a standard set consisting of power supply and cable in one saleable packaging required, customers certify to us.
That is why flow-med has a universal USB power set brought to market. It consists of a 10 watt dual USB power supply and a 1 meter USB-A to USB-C cable. that Quality power supply has all certificates and 4 protection systems. that Set is safe, of very high quality, energy-efficient (Class VI) and WEEE recyclable.
It is suitable for all hearing aid charging stations, accessories and care products, but also for mobile phones, tablets and much more. This means that the hearing aid charging station and the ventilator dryer can be operated simultaneously and in parallel from a power outlet.
Our suggestion: Ask your customers whether they already have a suitable USB power supply? If not, you and your customers are with our new USB power set well prepared for all cases.
The new USB power set will be available as an accessory from January 2023.
