The new dry-cap uv 3® is at the top of its class when it comes to drying hearing aids. This has been achieved by optimizing the flow channel, consisting of intake openings, high-performance fan, turbo channel and dry space optimization.
At 7,000 rpm, 4.89 m3/h of air is directed directly to the hearing aids via the turbo duct. By improving the flow channel and reducing the distance between the hearing aid and the fan, the drying result is increased by 25%. The humid air can escape unhindered through large side openings. There is no heat input, which is important for rechargeable hearing aids, cochlear processors, in-ear monitors and batteries.
UV-C hygiene has been optimised in terms of intensity and exposure time. The quality UV-C tube radiates at 253.7nm wavelength and an intensity of 4,900 μW/cm2 with a widened aperture angle, eliminating 99.9% of all viruses, bacteria and fungi in just 2 minutes. This was confirmed by an accredited test laboratory with certificate.
The 2 phases at the beginning and end of the drying time guarantee sterility even if the hearing aids are removed in the meantime.
In combination of UV-C light with antibacterial blue light 465nm wavelength we offer an optimal hygiene for the hearing aid wearer as well as gentle care of the hearing aids.

DRIES AND CARES
The new dry-cap uv 3® offers optimal care for all hearing aids worldwide. The intelligent design allows perfect drying and disinfection simultaneously with the charging process of the rechargeable hearing aids. No matter what the design of the hearing aid charging station, they all fit under the hood. In charging stations with a lid, the lid remains open and outside the dry-cap uv 3® so that the air flow and UV-C light reach the hearing aids and earpieces precisely.
The Dry&Clean mode is an automatic program and combines fast drying by an efficient air blower with UV-C light at the beginning and end of the drying time for perfect hygiene.
The Clean Mode is a short-term hygiene program and starts the optimized UV-C light, which effectively eliminates up to 99.9% of germs, bacteria and fungi found in the household.
FOR YOUR HEALTH
In addition to drying, UV-C light ensures hygienic cleanliness. Germs, bacteria and fungi are efficiently reduced by 99.9%, thus minimizing health risks. This clinical cleanliness prevents ear infections and protects both your hearing aids and your health. A 3G-sensor turns the device off when motion is detected to protect the eyes.
In addition to hearing aid care, the new dry-cap uv 3® is an effective hygiene station for many household applications. At the touch of a button, a quick hygiene with 2 minutes of UV-C light is carried out, which effectively eliminates 99.9% of all viruses, bacteria and fungi. The drying process is carried out without the use of harmful heat and is therefore suitable for all accumulators and batteries. INTEGRATED RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
FOR MORE MOBILITY
Whether at home or mobile when travelling, the dry-cap uv 3® works with a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. This allows drying, hygienic cleaning and charging of rechargeable hearing aids at the same time. The LiPo battery is charged with the included USB cable. A standard USB 2.0 port or a 5V USB power supply (e.g. from the hearing aid charging station) is perfectly adequate for this purpose. The multiple use of USB power supplies saves resources and enables worldwide mobility.
Blue light (380-495 nm) is used in medicine for the treatment of acne, psoriasis, neurodermatitis and for wound healing.
Blue light also contributes to hygiene through its antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. When used overnight, care should be taken to keep a distance from the bed, as blue light is often perceived as disturbing during sleep.
